Media, you can save our country and several lives….will you?

My appeal to our print and television media….

You are the strongest network in the country. You have the highest influence on the masses. If you join hands and help the country co-ordinate information is there not a way we can be more efficient in fighting this pandemic? I believe you can do it. Here are somethings that reach my average brain (there could be much greater ideas that I cant even think of…this is only a food for thought)

Make the first page news positive. Talk about number of recoveries and how many things were done. The rest of the info can be printed in the 3rd and 4th pages. For some days can we do this to spread positivity?

Every individual is creating watsapp groups and finding beds etc. can we channelize this info via some television channels or something? Can media co-ordinate this information so that it is structured, reliable, immediately available info?

In case you see people asking for bribes for oxygen cylinders or anything, instead of media shaming them (believe me they don’t get affected) can we tell them that we will project them on media for saving lives if they do that and actually bring spot light on them in media if they yield to our request? They get publicity and we turn around people positively

Can we have channels bombarding info saying “we will come out of this together and stronger”

The power of suggestion by media has its well-known roots from times immemorial. Hitler is known to have used his power of suggestion to get masses to do what he wanted them to do. It is very powerful. We can save people who die out of fear. Indian media will be the heroes of tomorrow.

Anyone in the media who thinks this makes sense, could you help our country?
