“Thought attracts that upon which it is directed”….

This is a statement that has stayed with me and touched me since the time I read the book ‘Magic of Believing’. This is not just because it sounds cool, but because I practically have started experiencing this every day. The more you think you have problems, they seem to pour in cart loads; when you are in a good mood and can deal with anything and feel everything will work, you will see it work. Anyone can try it!!

So … here is why I am talking about this;

Sangu (my sis) and I have been long discussing the purpose of life and contributing to the greater cause. We read/listen/see so many issues/sufferings/problems every day and get motivated to do something. We are inspired by what we read in the social media about the great things simple people do (and that’s why social media is not all evil) and we are also enraged by sufferings.

But what should we do?how should we do? Do we have the bandwidth in terms of money and time? Do we the guts?… lot more questions like these keep popping up and we keep discussing endlessly.

Recently, we actually put some plan together and started discussing specific topics and specific actions that we can take. What we need to do next is that we need to attach timelines to them. I truly and strongly believe that nothing works without deadlines!

But just steering of the thoughts into the direction of actionable has opened up so many discussions and somehow I am suddenly becoming aware of like minded individuals who right beside me and around me. how did I miss this all these years? This is where my first saying goes….my thought is now attracting me to this information and I am finding them.

Out of nowhere I am now having a list of names of people who are in my close circle who can inspire me. so here is my first action..

Why get inspired only by stories written by someone? Why not be the writer of those inspiring stories singing about some unsung heroes and also inspiring thousands of others like me. this is the least I could do to do something useful in the society. Here goes my blog series for those heroes whom I have first hand interactions with!!
